Rosina Emanuel
Housekeeper, Arusha Rest House
Born in Tabora, Tanzania, Rosina was educated to standard 7 before marrying and having three children. She moved with her family to Arusha to provide better education opportunities for her children and worked as housekeeper for expatriate UN personnel. Noticed for her thoroughness, happy nature and superb cooking she was asked to join with us in caring for our guests and volunteers which she now does to the delight of us all.

Ali Hasani
Works Supervisor
Born in Tanga, Tanzania Ali Hasani completed primary school and moved to Arusha where he began work as a gardener in a large housing complex. He then went in to partnership with an Arusha builder working on many buildings in the Arusha region. In 2004 he was contracted to do landscaping work for this foundation and performed so well he was asked to join the permanent staff. Ali now supervises all building work and makes an important contribution to the Tanzanian Board.

Athumani Mohamedi
Landscaper/painter School nurseries and grounds
Born in a small village near Dodoma Athumani received no education and survived from a young age as a hunter. in 1992 he came to Arusha where he trained and worked as chef in a leading hotel. Missing the outdoors he left to become a gardener of great ability where he was discovered by the Foundation and now works as our school landscaper and painter.

Elizabeth Shangali
Book-keeper Office Manager
Born in Musoma, Tanzania, Elizabeth was separated from her parents at the age of 7 and went to live with her aunt in Moshi where despite her deprived and very difficult circumstances she was able to complete her education to standard 4. On leaving school she continued her studies in computer accounting and bookkeeping.
Elizabeth keeps the books of the EAF and is being trained in office management while continuing her studies with the support of the Foundation.

Jabiri Hasani
Guard, gardener and general assistant
Born in Tanga, Tanzania, Jabiri trained as a tailor and gardener before establishing his own clothing business which he still operates. He acts as a guard, gardener and general assistant for our volunteers and staff.

Bruno Pinotti
Born in the Champagne Region of France Bruno studied informatics (IT Technology) woth the French railways and managed the computers there for 15 years. Moving to Tanzania he Joined the adopt a School Program to direct our work for computers in schools and assist with school development. |

Athumani Shabani
Senior building contractor Engineer
Born in Tanga,Tanzania Athumani studied engineering and construction there before moving to Arusha to continue his studies and establish his own construction company. He constructed many buildings in Arusha and other parts of Tanzania before working full time managing tradesmen for adopt a school works. He now has become expert with the innovative building methods introduced by the foundation. |
